Pro-Cleaner Terms of Service

Terms of Service (ToS) for Pro-Cleaner

Effective Date: April 24th, 2025


1. Acceptable Use

You may only use Pro-Cleaner in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. The bot must never be used to:

  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against individuals or groups, especially based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.

  • Engage in or promote doxxing, cyberstalking, or any form of targeted harassment, on or off Discord.

  • Facilitate, promote, or coordinate unauthorized access, hacking, exploitation of vulnerabilities, or use of compromised accounts.

  • Engage in impersonation, phishing, or misleading users through false identities or affiliations.

  • Bypass or interfere with Discord's API, rate limits, or security systems.

  • Collect, store, or distribute personally identifiable information (PII) without informed consent or lawful basis.

  • Use Pro-Cleaner in violation of Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Developer Policy.

Any misuse of this bot will result in immediate revocation of access and may be reported to Discord Trust & Safety or relevant legal authorities.


2. User Responsibility

Pro-Cleaner is a decentralized moderation utility. It does not contain any built-in ban list or database. Users configure the bot by supplying a public JSON file hosted on GitHub that defines their own custom ban lists.

  • We do not monitor, host, or curate these ban lists.

  • You, the user, are fully responsible for any bans, actions, or enforcement resulting from your linked ban lists.

  • We make no claims or warranties about the accuracy or legitimacy of any lists uploaded or referenced.

  • If you share ban lists with others, you must ensure those lists do not contain false information, harassment, or defamation.

You assume full responsibility for the outcomes of any moderation decisions made using the bot.


3. Privacy & Data Compliance

Pro-Cleaner does not store or process user data. However, if your externally linked ban lists contain personally identifiable information (PII), you are legally obligated to handle that information in accordance with relevant data privacy laws, including:

  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

  • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

  • Any other applicable local or international privacy regulation

It is your responsibility to provide users with access, correction, or deletion mechanisms where required by law.


4. Open Source Notice

Pro-Cleaner is provided as open-source software for educational and moderation purposes only. It is distributed as-is, without warranties or guarantees of any kind.

We do not guarantee support, uptime, or compatibility with future versions of Discord or related services.


5. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Any misuse of Pro-Cleaner

  • Any disputes arising from false positives or inaccurate ban lists

  • Any enforcement action taken by Discord or third parties as a result of your usage

  • Any reputational damage, legal claims, or data privacy issues caused by your configuration of the bot


6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access to Pro-Cleaner at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to abuse, violation of these terms, or noncompliance with platform policies.


7. Changes to Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated at any time. Continued use of the bot constitutes acceptance of any changes.
